To join us at the auction rooms in Woburn on 15th October for a special occasion
Our CEO Angela Foll has been learning the trade of an auctioneer and on Thursday October 15 she will be putting her new skills to the test at an auction and private viewing being run by Charles Ross Auctioneers & Valuers.
Angela ‘won’ the opportunity when she outbid the Mayor of Luton at an event we held in June.
So we are sure you will want to offer her your support (and see how she gets on) when the bidding starts again.
Angela will be managing 10 auction lots at the private viewing and all winning bid monies will go towards delivering more free counselling sessions for children and young people across the county.
Relate Bedfordshire & Luton, an independent charity and part of the UK Relate Federation, has more than 60 years’ experience of building and supporting stronger relationships in the local area.
Children and young people counselling (5 to 21-year-olds)
Our counsellors are experienced relationship experts who can help children and young people talk honestly and openly in a safe environment. Our confidential service helps children and young people explore and develop coping strategies for a whole range of problems, including parental divorce and separation, bullying, loss and bereavement, new step-parents/siblings, sexual identity, self-harm etc.
In 2014/15, we delivered 3,162 hours of children and young people counselling compared to 2,108 hours delivered the previous year – a 50% increase.
Russell Beard, of Charles Ross Auctioneers & Valuers, is once again supporting our fundraising event and has kindly offered to show a party of 30-40 people around his auction rooms before the event and provide refreshments. You would then attend the auction itself and have the option of bidding. We start at 6.30pm at the auction rooms at The Old Town Hall in the heart of Woburn and plan to draw to a close at 8pm. If you would like to make an evening of it, there are several quality restaurants nearby.
Old Town Hall, Woburn (MK17 9PZ) is located south of Milton Keynes, close to junction 13 of the M1. The saleroom is on the first floor up two flights of stairs (unfortunately there is no wheelchair access as this is a listed building). Tickets for the tour and auction cost £15 plus an optional £10 donation which, with your permission, would enable us to claim gift aid on the donation element. Places have to be limited (because of the room space available) so if you can join us do please book early. We will send you an invoice and entry ticket(s). If all places are taken we will advise and return your payment. To book contact email@example.com
