Meet and Greet Volunteers Needed!

1 July 2016

How’s your relationship with your partner? New research published by Relate shows almost one in five married or cohabiting couples are in “distressed” relationships.

That means there’s some 2.87 million people across the UK who said they regularly considered separation or divorce, quarrelled, regretted being in their relationship and felt unhappy together.

Distressed relationships can have a negative impact on the physical health adults and a huge impact on children in the family.

Counselling often helps couples to reconnect. Vital to our face to face counselling services are volunteer meet and greeters. A meet and greeter welcomes clients with a friendly face and puts clients at ease prior to their appointment with a counsellor.

Due to increasing demand for our face to face adult relationship counselling across the county, we need more volunteers to provide this vital role, particularly in Leighton Buzzard and Dunstable.

If you, or you know someone who would be interested in becoming a Meet and Greet volunteer for Relate, please give us a ring on 01234 356350 or email us.
