Children first!

24 August 2016

The Big Lottery Fund has awarded us a grant to deliver interactive workshops to separating parents.

The focus of the workshops will be on the well-being of their children during and after separation or divorce.

They will start with a workshop in Luton on 17th November, followed by Sandy on 16th March 2017 and then Dunstable in June and Bedford in July.

With the theme ‘You may not always be partners but will always be parents’, the workshops encourage separating parents to think about:

  • How will your children cope and how you can help them
  • How to manage the emotional and practical aspects of co-parenting
  • Ways to develop a plan to maintain routine
  • How to improve and develop your parent/child relationship.

If you’d like to find out more, talk with Sue Walker on 01234 342503 or email her at: training@relatebedsandluton.org

Any couples from Bedfordshire and Luton can apply to join a workshop without cost – you do not have to be referred by anyone – and if you feel you can’t or shouldn’t attend as a couple, we may be able to book you both on to separate workshops.
