Some exciting news about Alison Chamberlain, the Chair of Trustees: at the recent annual Relate conference on 2nd November Bedford and Luton were once again name checked as Alison Chamberlain won a Relate Heroes Award! This was in the category of Outstanding Trustee Commitment. This as we know was very well deserved and was following her nomination by Chris Sherwood.
Chris Sherwood, CEO Relate, said: I nominated Alison for her commitment to Relate as both the Chair of the Central Region and the Chair of Bedfordshire and Luton. Alison has been more actively involved in Bedfordshire and Luton since the departure of Angela Foll and she has chaired the central region in an impressive manner. Further, Alison agreed at extremely short notice to Chair the October General Meeting which was no easy undertaking. Alison has been involved in Relate for over eight years now and is always willing to roll up her sleeves and get stuck in, including most recently in helping to set up the SOF Review Group and as a member of this group.
Alison was awarded her prize by Tanya Byron psychologist, writer, and media personality, best known for her work as a child therapist on television shows Little Angels and The House of Tiny Tearaways. Tanya is also an Ambassador for Relate.
Huge Congratulations to Alison, absolutely deserved this recognition and a huge thank you from all your friends and fellow trustees at RB&L for all that you do.
